A&M Consumer and Retail Group worked hand-in-hand with the client team to launch a full-scale, retail transformation through cost reduction and operational improvements to unlock revenue growth potential.
Our CRG team spanned throughout several functions within the company, truly partnering with the business operators to identify and start delivering on change. The work included a full cost takeout effort – across sourcing, supply chain, store operations and indirect procurement, identifying $75-$100M in annual cost savings; in addition to cost reduction efforts, CRG helped the company refocus their customer-focused efforts through reinvestment across eCommerce, omni-channel capabilities (BOPIS, curbside, delivery), and digital marketing. A program management approach – through progress tracking, cash flow management, debt restructuring and performance/impact tracking—was implemented to help the client ensure that transformation recommendations could truly transform into results. The joint work positioned the brand to survive the initial shutdown associated with the COVID-19 pandemic and is on track to deliver $75-100M in annual cost savings with significant revenue upside.
